Amazon Inspector is a security assessment service that helps improve the security and compliance of applications running on AWS. It is now available in both AWS GovCloud (US-East) and AWS GovCloud (US-West) Regions. With Amazon Inspector, customers can continuously monitor their AWS workloads including Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) instances, container images in Amazon Elastic Container Registry (ECR), and AWS Lambda functions for software vulnerabilities. It provides customers with an automated security assessment of their AWS resources, which helps them identify and address potential security issues. Amazon Inspector also provides customers with detailed reports that can be used to track and remediate security issues. With the availability of Amazon Inspector in additional regions, customers can now benefit from improved security and compliance of their AWS workloads.
